Consulting – How valuable is good information? I’m very generous with my time and happy to answer your queries, however sometimes the questions go much beyond simple answers. Sometimes it’s about the instrument. Sometimes it’s about the music. Sometimes it’s about organizational issues and management of a pipe band. I’ve also created inter-active PDF music books for bands and consulted on band repertoires. It’s hard to put parameters on “consulting” so let’s leave this open-ended and talk about your needs and how I can help.
Lessons – There are some great resources out there, but nothing quite measures up to one-on-one instruction. I am available for individual and group lessons, either in person or via Skype. The general rate is $30 for 45 minutes. Typically lessons stretch beyond 45 minutes at no charge. If I’m brought in to teach a group, the cost, per person, can be much lower.
Workshops – Weekend workshops generally run Friday evening, all day Saturday, and can continue Sunday morning. The itinerary is customized to your needs and the needs of your band. I’m not there to impress but to connect and impart. I’ve been doing this (playing and teaching) for 50 years and have a unique and passionate approach to teaching. I guarantee that you and your band mates will be happy!
