This journey began in 1971 and the destination wasn’t clear at all. This website is the result of decades of research and by no means should it be considered complete. Old and forgotten bagpipes surface from time-to-time. They sometimes confirm what we do know and often teach us to what we don’t know. Through our ongoing research we hope to verify and preserve as much of the history of the instrument as possible.
