The Bowen Classic Bagpipe
Image of bowen.jpg
The Bowen Classic is manufactured by Dunbar Bagpipes of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.  Dunbar has gained the repect of pipers worldwide as a quality maker of excellent bagpipes and The Bowen Classic is no exception.  Made to my specifications, this bagpipe sounds and behaves like a true champion.

Here a sound file that you may find helpful.  This was recorded in the chapel at St. John's in Delafield.  The chanter is Roddy MacLellan's with a Ross reed.  The drone reeds are the same glass Rockets that are used in the Atherton and Maclellan sound files.

You can read more about Dunbar Bagpipes in both the museum and within our regular store.  Whether you're interested in traditional African Blackwood or one of their delrin bagpipes you're assured of getting one of the highest quality instruments made today.  They are made by and for pipers.  I've been associated with Jackquie and Rick for years now and with founder Jack Dunbar going back to about 1987.  Their bagpipe is "Henderson" inside and out and it is an excellent choice.  I own and play a delrin P2e and my entire St. John's band is outfitted with P1 instruments.  I simply can't say enough good things about them.
